Received |
Your application has been successfully submitted and it is pending an initial review. As soon we begin the review process, you will receive an email. Applications are reviewed in the order received. We will continue to process applications as long as funds are available. If you have received an eviction or utility shut off, please call the call center or submit a Service Request . |
Missing Documentation |
Your application is under review but is missing documentation that will allow us to continue through the review process. Check your email inbox for an email detailing which documents are needed. If you do not upload the requested documents, your application could be denied. In some cases, if you have already uploaded documentation, your submission might not meet the program’s criteria. If your documentation is not readable (e.g., blurry) or is incomplete (e.g., missing information or a section cut off), it will be considered missing. You can call the call center if you need further assistance or submit a Service Request . Once you upload this documentation, note that applications will only move through the review process, as long as funds remain available. |
Final Review |
Your application is under review to ensure all program requirements are met before approving your application for payment. Please give the team time to complete this review. Any updates or requests for information will be emailed to you. Please note that your application’s status may return to “Missing Documentation” upon further review. Applications will move through the review process, as long as funds remain available. |
Payment Processing |
We are in the process of preparing the electronic payment to your landlord or utility company. If you or your landlord will be receiving a printed check, it may take additional time for the check to be prepared. Please note, mail delivery times can vary depending on the USPS delivery schedule in your area. Please do not contact the State Treasurer’s Office for an update on your payment – all updates will be provided by the program. If there is a change in your payment information, please call us. Payments will be sent as long as funds remain available once the application moves through payment processing. |

Closed Out – Application Closed (Missing Documents) |
We have reached out to you requesting additional documentation. Our records indicate that you have not submitted the required documents to complete your application, therefore your application has been closed. Please submit the requested missing documentation for further consideration through the document upload page or by calling the call center. You must also appeal this decision through the appeals page, within the timelines defined in the application closing email. If you believe you submitted the requested documentation AND appeal but have not seen a status change, submit a service request , or call the call center. If you submit all required documentation, remember that applications will only move through the review process, as long as funds remain available. |
Not Eligible |
An application can be found not eligible for several reasons including missing documentation, applicant lives in a county SC Stay Plus does not service, applicant is over income, etc. You have received an email detailing why your application was found not eligible for assistance, along with any next steps available. If you have any questions, please contact the call center. |
